Some of the results
Some of the key findings include:
- Preventive supportt: 83% of HR professionals believe that their office offers sufficient facilities for preventive support, but recognize a difference in perception with employees who often want more support.
- Individual solutions: There is a broad consensus that individual wellbeing solutions should be standard within the HR strategy. However, people often experience a barrier when asking for support.
- Investments in health: Most respondents agree that more should be invested in both physical and mental health. The current offer is often insufficient to effectively address the welfare problems.
- Pressure of billable hours: There is a mixed opinion about how the number of billable hours affects mental health. Despite the high number of hours worked, half of the respondents underestimated their impact on well-being.
- Work culture: The work and performance pressure in the legal profession is experienced as high. Respondents acknowledge that factors such as constant availability, lack of appreciation, and privacy factors contribute to the risk of burnout.
Openness and Destigmatization
There is a need for more openness about well-being and the destigmatization of mental health problems. Office partners play a crucial role in this by leading by example and encouraging employees to make use of wellbeing solutions.
